Hello!
Please check your child's binder for school picture forms, Moby Max info (online math fact practice) & ethnicity forms-if you haven't filled them out. Yesterday, sign in forms for Accelerated Reading and Spelling City were sent home. You can keep up to date on your child's math fact knowledge, reading comprehension progress and time spent practicing spelling online. A note from Football Coach Kleinschmidt: The High School Football programs throughout the state of Minnesota are partnering with the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund to Tackle Cancer. The Albany Huskies are going to have a special activity to help in this effort. On Friday, September 13th, during halftime of the Albany vs. Zimmerman Varsity Football Game at home on Michael Field, anyone who wants to come down onto the field and donate $1, can tackle a big, blue tackling dummy or a Tackle Wheel that will be held by our 9th grade Football players! All ages are welcome to come down and participate. There is no limit to the number of tackles anyone can make...$5 for 5 tackles, $10 for 10 tackles, etc... Come on down and have some fun! All of the proceeds will go to the Randy Shaver Cancer Research Fund. Come on down and help us tackle cancer. "Down, set, HIT!!" Please contact me with any questions. Have a great weekend! Mrs. Hoeschen Quick notes:
•Specials start at 8:30AM: *Day 1 SEL (Social Emotional Learning), Day 2 & 4 Music, Day 3 Art, Day 5 Media. No snack, Lunch is 11:33-12:03. Birthdays and ½ birthdays will be celebrated. The school district’s wellness committee has a policy that states that no birthday snacks will be allowed. We’ll sing & celebrate in class. Please ask your child to show you their three ring binder. It will keep their planner, take home folder, spelling lists, info about our Buggy for Books, Classroom Economy & more. Initialing their planner daily is an easy way to earn a Pawsitive Pride slip. We practice Calm Classroom 2-3 times a day. Calm Classroom is a program that uses simple research-based mindfulness techniques to help students and teachers develop self-awareness, mental focus and inner calm. Please email me with any questions. THANK YOU in advance for all of your kind support. Anne Hoeschen [email protected] |
